The sister of the woman who went missing while waiting for a connecting flight in Los Angeles has spoken out after she was found safe.

Earlier this week, Hannah Kobayashi was found after going missing back in November.

Kobayashi had been traveling from her home in Maui, Hawaii, to get a connecting flight to New York via Los Angeles but never actually boarded the flight to the Big Apple.

A widespread search was sparked for the aspiring photographer, with Kobayashi’s father Ryan Kobayashi flying from Maui to LA in hope of finding his daughter.

Kobayashi was found ‘safe and well’ in Mexico earlier this week, with a family statement shared with the MailOnline stating: “We are incredibly relieved and grateful Hannah has been found safe.

“This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through.”

Kobayashi’s sister Sydni has since spoken out after he sister was found, stating she hasn’t seen Hannah yet.

“At this time, my mother and I have not physically seen Hannah. We do not have actual proof of where she is, other than that she is somewhere in Mexico,” Sydni said.Kobayashi is currently in Mexico (ABC7)
